Volta Redonda City Hall will have representatives in FGV national training
"Volta Redonda will have two representatives in the “Continued Training Project in Public Policies for Young Political Actors”, developed by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) to train young public policy operators: the municipal coordinator of Youth, Larissa Garcez, and the technical advisor of CoordJuv Programs and Projects (Volta Redonda Youth Coordination), Katya de Souza Aguiar.
The city of Volta Redonda participated in the process after national disclosure with municipal and state governments and public actors by Fundação Getúlio Vargas, in addition to sharing information by SMDET (Municipal Secretariat for Economic Development and Tourism).
“Through the municipal agenda, we send CVs, personal and professional materials, projects, actions and municipal programs with information about what the municipality has been developing through the municipal folder for youth, how we act on the issue of public policies, and what the process of rebuilding public policy for youth in Volta Redonda has been like”, explained the Youth coordinator.
After the internal selection process, which considers technical capacity, profile and data provided, FGV selected the 51 young people from the country who will participate in the training. “And this week we had the result that the Coordjuv team will represent Volta Redonda in the formation”, said Larissa Garcez, who has a degree in Law from UFF (Universidade Federal Fluminense) and a postgraduate degree in Public Management from PUC (Pontifical Catholic University).
The project is carried out by FGV's International Intelligence Unit (IIU), in partnership with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. IIU produces content on issues at an international level, with the aim of opening markets and partnerships abroad, in addition to bringing intelligent solutions, ideas and investments to Brazil.
The project's classes and actions will take place in the months of July and August, involving topics such as: Characteristics and Assessments of Public Policies; Interpretation and Statistics, Database, LGPD and Data Processing; Mapping and Access to Financing for Public Projects and Programs; and Emerging Technologies and their Applied Tools.
Graduated in History from UniRio (Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro) and a technician in Industrial Automation from IFRJ (Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro), advisor Katya highlighted the importance of participating in the project and representing the municipality.
“I am very happy and honored to have been selected to participate in this project. We know the weight and importance of FGV, being a reference institution, and being able to represent Volta Redonda in this training will, without a doubt, be very important as agents of public policies for youth in the municipality”, stated Katya, who was also a researcher at the Faperj (Rio de Janeiro State Research Support Foundation)."
