
Ruderico Pimentel
He graduated in Electronic Engineering at the Aeronautical Technological Institute (ITA), was an assistant professor in the Electrical Engineering course at the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC) and completed his doctorate in Mathematical Programming at the London School of Economics and Political Science at the University of London, between 1972 and 1976. He was a visiting professor, assistant professor and coordinator of the master's program in Production Engineering at the Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF). Mr. Pimentel served in various positions at Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras S.A (Eletrobras), subsequently occupying the position of Superintendent of the Economic-Financial Studies Division of the International Insurance Company. He joined Esso Brasileira de Petróleo LTDA (Esso) in 1986, as senior advisor for Strategic Affairs. In November 1987, he became deputy secretary general of the Planning and Coordination Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, having been tasked with analyzing and monitoring investment projects in the public sector, especially in the energy sector. As a consultant, he worked with bodies and companies such as the Institute of Economic and Social Planning (Inpes/Ipea), Companhia Ipiranga de Petróleo, Pronor Petroquímica S.A., Companhia do Polo Petroquímica do Rio de Janeiro/Planave S.A. and the Grupo Ipiranga.
