The IIU held a cycle of lectures focused on the discussion of climate issues, and how this topic has developed, from Rio92 to the present day.

Issues such as the incoherence between countries' actions and speeches on the reduction of their carbon footprints, the role of the international environmental movement and NGOs, the inclusion of climate issues as a new priority for the UN, the new industrial revolution, and the new geopolitical developments around the subject were addressed.

The main speaker of the event was the representative of FGV’s IIU in France, Dr. Christian Stoffäes, in addition to Professor Renato Flôres from IIU, and took place on March 6, 9, and 11, 2015.
