FGV discusses relations between China, Latin America and Europe in Hamburg

The annual meeting of EULAC - Europe Latin America Foundation, a think tank based in Hamburg, dedicated to the relations between the European Union and Latin America, took place in early November.

Experts from both continents and Chinese researchers specialized in Latin America attended the meeting, which was funded by CAF (Development Bank of Latin America) and the European Commission. FGV’s International Intelligence Unit (FGV/NPII) played an active role in these activities, by participating in various discussions and preparing the panels.

The need to strengthen relations within South America and better understand the position of the several countries about the Chinese presence in the region were the conclusions drawn from the event, which will provide future developments.
